Your group will be divided into teams and will rotate between the different stampede challenges and take part in an awards ceremony when it’s all said and done. Our Wranglers will help you through and make sure that your experience is a darn good one! Please note: the number of stampede “events” will depend on the size of group.

Back in the day, Cowboys were needed to move cattle along from one homestead to the next, from the ranch to feedlots. A cowboy had to have roping skills and at the end of their journey they had to be able to push all the cattle into a holding pen, not as easy as it sounds. Teams will have two opportunities to rope a “cow” with the chance of gaining extra points if they actually do. When all members of the team have had a go at roping, it is time to get the cattle into the pen. One head wrangler is chosen from the team and then the fun begins as they try to manoeuvre the “cows” into the coral. The team that has all the “cows” behind the gate first, wins!

The most popular of the rodeo events (that the women usually excel at!). Each Cowboy or Cowgirl, will straddle their stick horse and gallop around the clover leaf barrel pattern then tag off the next member of the team who takes their turn racing the barrel run. The second round is even more fun as they trade their stick horses for a tricycle. First team to complete the circuit wins. In the event of a tie, there will be a third round that will decide the barrel racing champions!

The Ranch’s version of good ole Pictionary. Teams try and get their members to guess the name of the western-themed item they are drawing. The team that finishes all their cards from their saddlebag first, wins!

Teams will be buffalo hunting from the back of one our “Barrel” horses with no saddle, just an Indian saddle blanket. Competitors get three chances to hit the target with a bow and arrow. Points are given for making contact with the target and double points for a bull’s-eye. The team with the highest number of hits is the winning tribe.

Two teams compete against each other in this obstacle course where individual members from each team set out to complete a set of tasks as quickly as they can. Each task relates to the preparation for/and completion of a rodeo event. There will be the need to carry a real western saddle (not light, by any means), some barrel racing with a stick horse, trying to avoid the “bull” in the rodeo clown segment and finishing off with a trip to the “Rodeo Bar” to let off some steam and practice some serving skills with a tray of Tequila bottles (empty that is!).

*Please note that props are used to simulate some items. All of these games take place in the great outdoors but some can be moved inside in the case of inclement weather. Please dress appropriately and wear proper footwear. Due to the close proximity of nature, please make note of any allergies in your group.

Reuben is a Canadian National Championship, 3 time All Star Pro Rodeo and a top ranked Canadian on the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series. He has achieved 3 World Championship qualifications in his career and is a Glen Keeley Award recipient. This event is the real McCoy, we start with playing the National Anthem followed by opening ceremonies. A sign up board will be posted and would be bull riders can sign up when they are ready to climb into the chute. At the end of the program, the top five cowboys will participate in a "Ride-Off" Championship Round and the top cowboy will receive the Bull Riding Champion buckle presented by Karina Geleyns former Miss Rodeo Canada!

Mrs. Bradley had a farm...and on that farm she had some chickens, a pig, children and lots of chores! In 1854, Mathilda set up house with Abraham on 200 acres which is known to us now as The Log Farm. Teams will be asked to take part in an obstacle course of tasks that Mrs. Bradley would have done in her day-to-day life on the farm. Will you be collecting eggs or milking a cow? Come on down to the farm and find out! You can also experience a guided tour of the Bradley home & barnyard and enjoy our scenic walking trails up to the Sugar Bush.

One face painter can do approximately 25 cheek designs/hour OR 12 full faces/hour. One balloon sculptor can do approximately 50 balloons/hour.
